Looking for a spooky adventure this Halloween season? Our haunted maze is just the place for you. We team up with the Carlsbad Strawberry Company to create the perfect thrilling experience that you and your family will talk about for days. The haunted maze is perfect for teenagers and adults, guaranteed to get your heart thumping. Only open on Fridays and Saturdays, so make sure you plan accordingly to get your fix of a good Halloween scare!
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO:
50% of your admission goes to educating the future Lagoon Stewards at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon.
INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING:
Volunteers are needed from 6pm – 10:45pm. Volunteers must be able to stay the entire shift - the maze is "unsupervised" and students/adults must be responsible to stay in position. Age 16 and above recommended, unless being supervised paired with an adult (then can be younger). There will be a floater to relieve for bathroom/water break. Snacks provided as well at the end. Closed toed shoes/comfortable wear recommended. If you have a scary Halloween costume, you are welcome to wear your own, but they are provided. Sections of the maze are organized by theme, so let us know what you're bringing and we can find the perfect place for you. It is a really fun time with a friend or group of friends. We need a lot of volunteers to fill the shifts, so feel free to spread the word! New protocols in place which will include, bringing your own mask, a temperature check before getting into position, and increased sanitation.
Volunteer a night = 1 FREE admission to come back and experience it the next night or weekend.
Covid-19 Safety Precautions:
Each volunteer will be given their own haunted mask each night, as well as a medical cloth mask. You will be temperature checked upon arrival. The Corn Maze is entirely outdoors, and no contact between volunteers and guests is permitted. Each volunteer will be spaced at least 6 feet apart. Each guest will enter alone or with their immediate family or group only. At this time, large groups will not be allowed. Each volunteer will be required to sign a waiver each night. We will record where you are placed, so as to be able to trace which volunteers you were in contact with. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to sign the waiver, which can be sent ahead of time, or can check in with you. Because of the extra precautions in place, we suggest that volunteers arrive before 6pm in order to ensure that temperatures are checked, waivers are signed, and there is enough time to get into costume and take places before 7pm.
