Environmental Stewardship Teaching Position: 

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our teaching team! Our Stewardship Teachers are responsible for teaching any of the designated programs and following curriculum that has been written. Availability and hours are offered in accordance to program bookings, we are looking for someone who is available Monday-Friday and occasional weekends beginning in April and available through the summer. Volunteer Coordinator: 

We are hiring for a Full Time Volunteer Coordinator!  Under the supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, the Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for supervising volunteers and providing direction, coordination, and consultation for all volunteer functions within the foundation to strengthen public or private programs and involve a community of supporters. The position manages the Volunteer Office while working in an unstructured environment with numerous interruptions throughout the day. This position is responsible for volunteer recruitment, orientation and retention, project planning and execution, recordkeeping, reporting and supervision of volunteer activities. The Volunteer Coordinator supports the mission of the AHLF by building an ever-increasing network of organized volunteers and creating a formal database and process including the logistics, tracking, organization and communication efforts in relation to volunteers.   • One Week: Monday - Friday 9:00 – 5:30pm; the next week Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 – 5:30pm. We have many groups that come through here and require Saturday needs, so this schedule gives you a three-day weekend, every other week, and a one day weekend between that. Saturday’s can be adjusted to an 8:00am – 4:30pm schedule if preferred. Shifts in scheduling due to events, will occur. 

Assistant Discovery Center Manager: 

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation in Carlsbad, CA. This role is a key contributor to our team and provides a critical support role to the Director in managing daily operations and programs of the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation's Discovery Center. The Assistant Manager will ensure our programs, activities, projects, rentals and customer service flow seamlessly throughout the day. As a key member of the team, the Assistant Manager will bring enthusiasm and ideas to help move the Foundation’s mission forward. With a competitive salary of $19-$22 per hour, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to have an impact on the community in the Carlsbad area. Key attributes include: time management, thriving in a fast paced and ever-changing environment, ability to wear multiple hats.
