About GivingTuesday:
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Our Mission For The Day:
The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation believes all children deserve the opportunity to learn about our environment in an engaging and personal way because we are at our best... when everyone is involved! Our education program provides universally accessible and tailored lesson plans teaching future stewards sustainability, conservation and how to respect themselves, others and their environment. Help us to develop our Discovery Den at the center of it all. Our growing team of educators needs a new home to continue fueling the innovation of young environmental stewards and giving them the steppingstones to become our next environmental engineers, climate scientists, naturalists, biologists, conservationists and so much more. They are our future - invest in their experiences today. Can the kids count on your support?

AHLF Fundraising Campaign: The Discovery Den
Our field trips are increasing once again in popularity. We are excited to have all our students back on campus with us. We are expanding our program offerings for the visitors that have found us to daily lessons of nature.
All this is exciting, and extremely fulfilling for our entire team. Its getting a little tight inside. We are 2-3 people per office and plan to move our education department closer to the action. We need to expand our brick-and-mortar office space for more programming offerings to be implemented. The space for storing all the educational needs is great.
As our team grows so must our creative spaces for teachers and administrators to design the magic that our mission asserts to achieve: to energize our community through education and outreach to preserve the Agua Hedionda Lagoon as an accessible and healthy watershed.
We all can realize the enormous benefits of nature for our mental wellbeing, from a more vibrant active lifestyle, to improving your daily mood. Nature helps you take time out and feel more relaxed while helping you to meet and get to know new people in beautiful settings.
We invite you to join us in our journey to accomplish our vision to be Stewards of the Watershed as we inspire future generations, so we all have access to a healthy lagoon. A safe place in nature…for all.

Your name will be dedicated to the animal on their enclosure

A photo of your name with the animal will be sent to you via email

Possibility of being tagged on Instagram with your animal

Come into the Discovery Center and hold* or see your animal up close!
*Some animals are not able to be held for safety of them and our guests
Join us for pizza and beer from 5-8pm on November 29th and 20% will go back to AHLF!
